Ghoomar

 Ghoomar 

The dance called Ghoomar is performed at the royal festivals of the Rajputs. Ghoomar is a traditional folk dance of Rajasthan. The most beautiful costumes are used for this dance. They dance beautifully embroidered in a large, pleated long skirt and a loose-fitting veil. 

Ghoomar dance is performed in a circular motion. Sometimes they move clockwise and then counterclockwise, like the clock face of a clock.  

    

This dance is performed only by women. Performed in pairs or singles, they perform incredibly beautiful hand movements. A woman of any age can perform the dance, and there is no time for the dance to last.
